SPOILER ALERT!!!! If you have not seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens and you don't want to read any spoilers then you best click away RIGHT NOW! You've been warned.
My husband took our older four to watch the new Star Wars movie on Monday. They loved it. All of them.Since then, my days have been spent listening to chatter about parentage, hand-to-hand combat strategies with lasers, lineage and resurrection theories. (No. Just no. Say "NO" to Force Ghosts!) So, when an idea popped into my head in the middle of the night (it actually inserted itself in an imaginary list of cookies to make today... my mind is a weird place around 3am) I shared it with my children. All I said was, "A parody song... Leia, Did You Know?" They took it, ran with it, brought it back to me and then we all galloped with it some more.
{I know people who hate this song and I know people who love it. Personally, I'm neutral. I'd prefer it over Santa Baby on the radio any day, but I don't want it showing up in my hymnal. So, for those of you who love it, I promise, this is not meant as a slam. It was just too perfect a fit to pass up.
To those of you who hate it, well, accept this version as recompense for the 5,000 times you've had to listen to it since Thanksgiving.}
With apologies to Mark Lowry...

And now... back to those cookies. They aren't going to make themselves.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
