~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ with the lovely ladies at Like Mother, Like Daughter

{pretty}

{happy}

Sharing a fruit rainbow with your big brother and getting a card in the mail… it's the little things that can bring such joy.

{funny}

My big girls dumped cups of water on our back porch just so their baby sister could splash in the puddles. She insisted that they splash too. Silly girls! Oh, I love them so.

{real}
Do you see that scowl on her face? I'd love to pretend that that's the face of a serious artist at work. Sadly, it's the face of a toddler firmly embracing her Terrible Two's grumping because mom didn't bust out the "real" paints for her rainbow but tried to get by with some water color pencils. Bad mom! Oh… and that piece of cheese. We call it "crabby cheese". You can guess why.

    1. Exactly! This little feisty one kicks my backside most days.

  2. Love the pictures of them splashing. Looks like something I would have done for my nieces and nephews (I'm the youngest) when I was younger. :) So sweet. -- Bridget

  3. I really like your St. Patrick statue. I have a votive candle with a picture on it but no statue. The fruit rainbow is a great idea. I'll have to tuck that idea away for next St. Pat's Day!

  4. Crabby cheese! LOL. I eat a lot of crabby cheese. Love that your daughters created puddles to splash in!

  5. I love that your older daughters are willing to accommodate their little sister's wish to make puddles for her to play in! Cupcake is adorable ... even when grumpy! Every time I look at your saints coloring pages I think, "She really should publish a Catholic Saints coloring book." I'd buy it! ;)
