A boy and his dog. This little pup gave us a scare when she had a seizure over the weekend. According to the vet, it's not uncommon in dogs but very scary for their owners. Crouton has been the recipient of much extra love, much to her delight.

 My new dish cloths are working up so nice. I almost hate to use them.

{happy}
 Miss Cupcake loved helping me snap the beans for Thanksgiving. They made her very happy. I think we need to put fresh green beans on the menu every week just so I can see her chubby little hands snapping them in two.

Cupcake is totally enjoying opening up a new "present" every night and then listening to the story. I can't tell which she loves more, unwrapping the book or blowing out the candles on the Advent Wreath.

{funny}
Cupcake came down with the "snivels" last week. This cute little clumsy ninja app helped take her mind off of her drippy nose. I love her giggles.

We are having so much fun searching for these little guys as they search for the Baby Jesus. Apparently, they thought they could Google His location. Sorry guys… it's not that easy. #WiseMenAdventures

"As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."
(My kids say it looks like it was dropped from a great height.)
So, this was our Thanksgiving turkey. I cooked it using a method called spatchcocking. It's not pretty to look at but it cooks faster, more even and tastes yummy. But… really not pretty to look at.

  1. Spatchcocking is not pretty! I hadn't heard of it but may try it the next time I make a turkey or whole chicken. I generally cook my birds upside down on the thought that the juice and fat drips down and I don't have to baste.

  5. So sorry to hear about little Crouton! Give her an extra hug for me & Nini, okay? On a {happier} note...or {funnier}, as the case may be, Cupcake is cute cute cute. I might surprise my lil' giggler with that app today. ALSO? A Baker's Dozen is (the Kindle version) is $.01 over at Amazon!

    Happy feast, dear Charlotte. It's COLD up here. Wish I were THERE.

  6. This is why I can never knit dish cloths. They're so pretty! It would be like washing my dishes with a nice dress. :) I'm sorry to hear about your dog, I hope it is the last time that happens. Love your picture of the wise men! Happy St. Nick's day!
