 To go along with our special treat, I made a pretty little cake for Mother Mary's birthday. It was only one layer of a regular two layer cake. Cupcake has been fascinated with blowing out candles since her birthday and she was beyond thrilled to get to blow out some more. I only had a little frosting to spare so I made just a few little tiny roses on top, but I didn't really think about how little frosting I had to use when I started so the placement got a little wonky. If you don't know this by now, you should... camera angles are a blogger's best friend! This angle makes it look a lot nicer than it did in person.

She had so much fun and even sang Happy Birthday to Mary before she blew out the candles. I think we relit them for her about oh...8 or 10 times. And you see what I meant about those wonky roses.
