A Winner and ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!

What? Another giveaway? Are you tired of them yet? I hope not. First things first! The winner of the charming little almost antique prayerbook is...
Katie, I accidentally included your last name and then thought you might not want that on the internet so I covered it up. Sorry. I'll be sending you an email about your prize!

Now, for the second giveaway for the month of August, the month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I have an extra copy of one of Michele's lovely daily planners that I want to give away to someone. She mentioned recently that she's almost out of these Aug-July planners. If you want to be sure you get one then go order it now (FREE SHIPPING!). Michele only has a small amount of each size and won't be printing more of the Aug-July version. I only have one to give away. It's the half sized planner, just the perfect size to carry in your purse or diaper bag, and guaranteed to organize your life, keep you on schedule and never let you forget an appointment again! What? It doesn't do all that? Well... it tries, the rest is up to you. Leave me a comment telling me about your favorite organizational tool (filing cabinet, iCal, post it notes, whatever...) or tell me about the strangest organizational tool you've ever used and I will enter your name for the drawing... we do things the old fashioned way around here. No fancy-shmancy number generators, no sirree! I'll choose the lucky winner next week on the Feast of the Assumption, m'kay?

  1. Favorite organizational tool has to be my white board. I have it in the kitchen and use it to post to-do lists, chores, assignments, etc. It's easy to change for whatever we need it for that day. Currently it has a simple checklist for the kids to mark off when they've completed things like schoolwork, chores, reading, exercise. My kids nicknamed it "the chore-board of doom."

  2. Michelle's planners are lovely! And so is your teapot. I just picked up a bowl at Goodwill, that I think matches. It was made in Poland and I love it.

  3. The reason I would like to win is my need to be more organized. My "planner" consists of a wall calendar with tiny squares and I try to jam everything in those little squares!

  4. A calendar is my organizational tool of choice but I love Michele's.

  5. I just use a pad of paper and a whiteboard in the kitchen...maybe that's why my organization always seems lacking? :)

  6. Favorite tool is my computer! I'm a database person, and I love the flexibility and permanence of my computerized system. I'll be away when you do the drawing, but I'd love to use the beautiful planner, too.

  7. I use a planner to keep track of the never ending list of activities and dr. appointments. I cross check it with a family calendar when I remember to write it down a second time and some of the "events" make it on to the calendar on my phone. And somehow I still manage to forget a lot of things. Now if they could just invent a weekly planner that automatically turns the page for you at the end of the week I'd be set!

  8. I, too, use a wall calendar for family notes. I use a spiral notebook for homeschool plans. I would love a chance to try out Michele's planner. Thanks for the opportunity!

  9. What would I do without lists?! They are my favorite way of organizing and though my family has their many teases about the plethora of lists around the house, they DO work for me! :) At least, most of the time...

  12. I have used a planner since I was in college and love them. I can keep track of everything and file papers in it. I tried using my phone and didn't like that at all. I also will resort to writing on my hand for the really important details I can't forget about! Thanks for the giveaway!

  14. My favorite organization tool is a simple notepad and a pen. I love to make lists. I make long term lists, short term lists, daily lists, weekly lists, shopping lists, pretty much if there is something to list, I list it!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  15. My favorite organizational tool are my calendars! LOL I had Michelle's planner for two years but didn't have the money in time last year so we have been following the large desk calendar(central one) hung on fridge with the library one. The church bulletin calendar(3mos)and a community one hang above my computer with the free one from funeral home made for our church. Was soo much easier when I had the planner, and I loved that the lessons and menu were with it!

  16. My favorite organization tool is Michele's planner. My fav unoffical tool is a piece of large paper taped to the inside of the cabinet door. This thing is the best thing I have ever put there. When it is unrecognizable, we put up a new one. It is for quick jotting while on the phone...and best thing is, it can't be erased like a white board would....haha! Well, it works for us! :o)

  17. A calendar here, a to do list there seems to work around here. But, I like the look of Michele's planner and would give it a go. Thanks for offering the give away.

  18. I have one of Michelle's planners from 2009 that I still refer to because of the address book and menu planning and note features. I also love the More Time for Mom wall calendars because they have big squares and come with stickers that are easy to use. I recently updated to a cell phone with a calendar so I can send myself messages to remind me of appointments.

Thanks for the give away, I'd love to update my planner from 2009!

  19. Michele gave me a planner years ago, and it was lovely....and a huge help. Today I would have to say my two greatest organizational tools are a spirit of detachment and our whiteboard/calendar. Decluttering on a regular basis is amazingly cathartic and both practically and spiritually helpful. In preparation for the coming schoolyear, I totally decluttered and reorganized our home and it feels soooooo good! I included the outbuildings, even, and everywhere is clean, neat....and I can find what I'm looking for in under a minute. :)

  20. A planner/calendar is a must for my home-family organization. Preferably it be a Catholic planner but, honestly, I usually have to settle for what I find on clearance (under $5). I have also benefited from creating a family e-loop to share an online calendar and receive reminders for events. A priority assessment (in Excel) is another tool in my organizational arsenal. All my tools are nothing for my home organization and peace if I do not remain rooted in prayer! PRAYER is the key to my family's order!

  21. My favorite organizer is a simple wall calendar with big squares and multiple colors of pens. One color per family member and one family color. I take a look at it every night before I go to bed and I rarely forget or confuse appointments/obligations. I agree with Lena....Pray for the ability to stay organized.

  22. Argh...I am totally frustrated with my continual search for the perfect organizational tool. I am a paper/pencil kind of gal really struggling with the technological age. I like to make lists and schedules, that really helps me keep on task. And perhaps the perfect day planner would really help me out...wink, wink! :-)

  23. I have both a white board calendar in our kitchen where we post all of our family activities and Church related events. That's my first place to look but my little agenda is also important because I can carry it with me to the doctor appointments. I've been going digital in the past and that hasn't worked so well for me so this year I plan to be a paper/pencil planner. Thanks for this lovely giveaway!

  24. I am always making lists, with paper and pencil. Lists of chores, errands, school materials, bookkeeping, etc. Haven't found a system yet that works great for my desk and paper clutter, but I keep on working on it. =) Also a big square calendar for the family helps tremendously. I love using a planner for all my notes too. Thanks for the giveaway!

  25. My favorite organizational tools are lists and calendars. If I don't write it down, it doesn't get done! I love Michele's planners. I would love to win one this year!

  26. A small clipboard from Staples is my handiest organizational tool these days. I keep several on hand. One is in my bag -our toddler has a surface to color on while in waiting rooms, keeping quiet during Holy Mass. I keep one with graph paper in the computer drawer for the children to work out math problems. I often reach for a clipboard to make a to do list or shopping list.
Michele's planners are so lovely - Thank you for this giveaway.

  27. My favorite orgaizational tool is my wall calendar! My next favorite is my FlyLady notebook. That's where I keep track of all my housecleaning/home maintenance things. My favorite organizational tool after that would be lists on a piece of paper! I don't go to the store without one!

  28. I have a special devotion to Our Lady Queen of the Angels, affectionately Regina Angelorum, so would just love to win this planner!! As a nursing student and busy person my planner is my favorite organizational sidekick making sure no task is left undone.

  29. I'm not very organized so I'm not sure what my favorite tool is. We were using shared google calendars between our iPhones and the computer, but then they came out with iCloud and so we started using shared ical calendars. I don't find it as intuitive as google calendars but it works. I do think I need to go back to paper/pencil for at least the planning part. Still learning, here! I love Michele's calendar, but I'm not sure if I can purchase this year. Maybe I'll win!

  30. 5 subject spiral notebook has been my tool of choice to keep notes and journal record of our school. It would be nice to be more organized.

  31. Thanks for this neat give away. My favorite organizational tool is my 3x5 card box for all the scripture verses/ poems we learn. I keep them rotating through the days of the week tabs and we keep learning all year long. Works well!

  32. Oo, I just realized half of my post did not come trough:( I like post it notes and i have them on my cabinets, some walls and doors, books and all over the house. They have become part of my decor...LOL

  33. I am still trying to find a way to keep organized. A clipboard has been a great help so far. Thank you for having this give-away.

  34. I've been searching for the perfect organization tool to no avail! It does not exist! With me, it's not so much the tool as it is the "user" (me!) that fails. Consistency is imperative to proper utilization and success. I am a pen and paper kind of gal and do find it helpful to write down basic plans/goals for the week. It's satisfying to cross things off the list :)

    Blessings, Alison

  36. My favorite organizing tool or the post it index tabs. I put them on all my school syllabus, on my Designing Your Own Catholic Curriculum book (to separate grades) and any book I want to have quick reference to. The nice thing is they can be removed without damaging pages. But they're sturdy enough to last years. Hope I win the daily planner! I've always wanted to order but haven't ever actually. So I've always wondered what all the fuss is about.

  37. My favorite Organizational tool is my planner and my "Mother's Rule of Life" notebook. I'm starting to keep spiritual, family, and cleaning schedules in it to help my family and I live a more holy and organized life:)

  38. As far as organization, I cannot live with our large family wall calendar in the kitchen with big empty blocks. Although I don't carry it around with me, it gives me sanity and everything goes on there. I would love to try this lovely planner as a tool I carry with me. I am also a fan of the whiteboard (also in my kitchen) for easy lists and reminders.

  39. I have always been a post-it note kinda gal. I think the problem with is is that now I have 4 kids and they like post-it notes too!

  40. I use a whiteboard in the kitchen for menu and grocery list planning and I use my calendar on my phone and my google account calendar to remember appointments.

  41. I am a lister. My husband tries to get me to do things on the computer or phone, but I have to say, if I write things down I remember it much better than if I enter it in the phone or on a computer calendar.

  42. The google calendar I share with my husband. It automatically updates to our phones whenever one of us adds an appointment, so I always know what he has scheduled.
