I know I could always blog about Cupcake and her ethereal cuteness but you wouldn't really want to hear the details of her frustrating sleep patterns or lack there of or that she only wants to eat what comes off our plates and chowed down on my chicken baked potato soup the other day but still has to take her reflux medicine and still doesn't like it when I eat dairy and still only has 4 teeth which can't chew all of the delicious things on our plates?
Let's talk about the weather... it's hot. That is all.
Not as hot as it was last summer, but still summertime hot.
Does it sound like I'm in a funk to you? I think you might be right. Hence the picture at the top.
Why yes, I'd love some cheese with my whiiiiine... but I still can't eat dairy.
Whine away girl. If I couldn't eat dairy I'd be cryin' in my soup.
ReplyDeleteThe excessive cuteness of Cupcake, though. I mean, there's no excuse not to blog about HER. You don't even have to say anything. Just put a picture up now and again. That will help us cope with your loss of words, what with those baby chocolatey eyes and those adorable pudgy rolls and all.
Funks pass. Hang in there. I'm kind of in one, too.
I might be going to the conference too. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the effort of a sitter and getting out the door, so I am glad you mentioned it. Maybe just Friday for a little bit.
ReplyDeleteHa! I must say, my ears perked up to hear I'm not the only one who has a baby that has frustrating sleep patterns. Oh my goodness! The only thing that works for me...picture this...a 43 year old, cradling her baby, pretending to be ice skating across the bedroom floor (with twirls and jumps to boot), humming the ice skaters waltz. No joke! I find myself adding my own lines, like...your mommy's too old...for this...bum bum... LOL Goodness gracious!
ReplyDeleteOh dear Charlotte, there could never be too many pictures of Cupcake.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about the funk. So hot, you can't even go outside. (It was 100 here plus the humidity in Windsor, Ontario today!) Kids are all cranky because we can't go outside. And really, how many times can we watch AFV on Netflix in one day? Our 14 mo. old still awakens 3-4 times each night as well!!! And I am starting school this year on August 1, since it's so bloody hot we might as well be doing something, but then I start stressing about organizing it all!!!! Gee, hope my husband brings home some wine for my whine!!!! God bless you dear lady. Don't worry, soon we will be busy again, and having lots of fun trying to homeschool with a toddler!!!!!!
