A quick "hello"!

We are not home yet, but Cupcake is doing fine. After spending about 24 hours under the bilirubin light, she is doing much better. After a sudden onset of preeclampsia and an unexpected C-section (my first) I am very anemic and still battling some high blood pressure. Please keep praying for our recovery! This has been quite an unexpected adventure but we are delighted by our "little bitty pretty one" and are relying on God's grace to keep getting us through.

And please excuse any pain medicine induced rambling. Her name is pronounced A-vil-uh Uh-me which looks a lot less pretty than it sounds!

  2. Praying for you and.your beautiful new little one! I've BTDT with pre-eclampsia and unexpected c-sections; it can be scary, but life does eventually get back to normal, and you will feel like yourself again, I promise. :o) Take good care of yourself, rest as much as possible, and focus on that precious baby.

  4. Take care. Go slow. When you do get to move around, hold a pillow against your incision, it'll help immensely with any pain as you move.

Blessings to you and cupcake as you recover and start your babymoon!

  8. Happy to hear you're back communicating.:) Cupcake's name is so sweet! Prayers for your recovery and for the little one's jaundice. It sounds like she's improving, but if she does get worse before she gets better, I can help you through that. Our 3rd girl, Molly, had a severe bout of jaundice, but we made it through all that just fine.:)

  9. I hope your recovery is smooth and that the issues are resolved with minimal intervention. A blessing of having older kids is knowing they can do so much on their own and maybe even take care of you a little bit!

  10. Praying for you and your precious little girl. She is so very beautiful. I've had three c-sections and while they are not fun at the time, you will heal and forget about the unexpected method of deliver! :-)

Blessings on you, your new gift from God and your family.

  11. God bless you Charlotte. I know what it's like to not only have a baby come before you think it will but also what it's like having an unplanned emergency c-section. Recovery is less than fun but please take the doctor's advice to take it easy and let others do for you for the next 6 weeks.

  12. She's a beautiful baby. I'll keep you both in my prayers for a speedy recovery so you can get home fast and enjoy your new baby. I think you picked a lovely name for her too.

Try not to overdo it. Do not lift anything heavier than your baby. Easier said than done sometimes, but try not to anyway.

Take it easy on yourself. C Section is no fun, thats major surgery!
