We arrived home yesterday around 4pm but had to head back to the hospital this morning for another lab test. There is so much we have to praise God for and one of these days when I have the strength, I will share it all with you. But for now, we have word that Cupcake's bilirubin levels are no longer a concern and there is no need for more phototherapy!
Yay! Thank you, dear Lord and thank you dear friends for all the prayers.
So glad to hear you are home. So glad to hear her levels are good.
ReplyDeletePraise God indeed, Charlotte!
Welcome home!!!!! Our 2nd had problems with bili, needed the lights and all. Very scary experience being helpless watching your child lying there. So glad she's doing well. Praise God.
ReplyDeletegood news. rest up.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news, Charlotte! Thanks be to God! Praying for a restful and blessed babymoon.
ReplyDeleteYay! I am so glad you are home. Oh I just hated the phototherapy when Ben had to have it. You feel so helpless when you can't hold and cuddle your little newborn. Praying that you will have a nice, calm, restful return to normal life with lots of time to snuggle.
ReplyDeleteDeo Gratias!!! What wonderful news! I'm so happy to hear you are home safe and sound, and free to just bask in the blessing of that new little one! Rest well and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so happy to hear that!! The rest of your children must be so excited to have you and Cupcake home! Rest when you can and enjoy every minute with that precious baby.
ReplyDeleteSo glad! And wonderful to be off the lights.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, there is a machine that's transportable and you can hold your baby. The light slips up their backside and is attached to a tube that goes to the machine. It's not ideal but you can cuddle with him/her and we were actually even able to take our little girl home with it until her levels went down enough to go off (and never went so high as to require re-admittance - we still had to take her in twice daily for bloodwork).
