ALSO...Those of you in the DFW area. One of the weather service towers is OUT OF SERVICE. And they were filled with awe and amazement. They said to one another, "Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?" Luke 8:22-25
Prayer for Protection Against Storms and Floods
Graciously hear us, O Lord, when we call upon You,
and grant unto our supplications a calm atmosphere,
that we, who are justly afflicted for our sins,
may, by Your protecting mercy, experience pardon.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

that we, who are justly afflicted for our sins,
may, by Your protecting mercy, experience pardon.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Asking St. Barbara for prayers for you.

ReplyDeleteSince I'm in your neck of the woods, I'm pretty concerned by this post! Going to go check out the weather forecast :/
ReplyDeleteWe've been looking optimistically at our stormy and wet weather...it fits nicely with the Garden of the Good Shepherd.:) Praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteIt sure turned a strange green color mid afternoon. Very eerie! The girls were at LF/LW and David phoned me to get home. All safe and sound now :)
ReplyDeleteWe, too, have had several hail storms already and a few tornado watches.
ReplyDeleteI went to a meeting last night that talked about disaster preparedness. The law of averages makes every year more likely for my area to get hit by a hurricane. I'm happy I have family less than a day's drive away, and know that nobody would have to tell me twice to clear the area. I do think I should actually assemble a get-away kit, though. Would make packing less frantic.
Oh, and I'm thankful that the biggest threat is likely a hurricane with several days warning, instead of a tornado with no warning. One of the things I do NOT miss about Ohio and Kansas.
ReplyDeleteThe storm during the afternoon was amazing, but the storm late at night was incredibly windy and strong. Luckily, we didn't have any hail that I know of. No tornadoes either. Whew!
ReplyDeleteWe are at the tail end of the rain right now.
