The Wind and Sea
Obey Him
Obey Him
In the frenzy of preparing for our back-to-back birthday extravanganza on Tuesday and Wednesday, I threw together the most simplified Garden Party I've done yet. This was our first year to do a Week 4 party since last year I was recovering from a miscarriage, so we wanted to do it, but I needed to keep it simple! Here it is, in only 3 pictures (yup, no pictures of the table, too cloudy!) but I think we managed to fit everything in. I'm calling it the "Playing With Our Food Party"!
Leviathan Hot Dogs, Bun Boats, Pretzel Masts and Cheese Sails all of which can be disassembled and eaten in regular hotdog form. The eyes are made out of black beans! Jessica's O Week Octodog inspired this variation.
Pretzel Nets and Barbecue Chips
Swedish Fish in Sea Water Jell-O for dessert inspired by Angie's pictures from last year. I added whipped cream for white caps on the ocean when I served them. Our spoons caught the fish for us!
Hope you have a good week! I will be neck deep in wrapping paper, decorations and cake until Thursday!

ReplyDeleteYou did a super job!
awesome. Charlotte, you do things on the fly better than I do things with hours of preparation! :) I love your ideas for the party.
ReplyDeleteOh, Charlotte! I think this is my favorite GSGP *ever*!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, cute and clever all at once. I bet the kids loved it.
The jello with the swedish fish at the end was pure genius.
I love it all, especially the Leviathan Hot Dogs and the Bun Boats!!
ReplyDeleteI am sure the back-to-back birthdays will be a blast!! I can't wait to see pictures!!!
This is fabulous! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I think I have the worst memory ever. I thought those fish in jello looked vaguely familiar...*face palm*
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking back to Angie and nudging my memory. :)
There's been so many wonderful ideas for these parties. The creativity is endless! Love it.
I love the hot dogs!! My youngest brother used to request that I make him "octopus hotdogs" like this, so it brings back old memories. :)
