Jessica has officially spread her candy making addiction across the internet! Candy molds are so easy to use and the treats are adorable!
I made little boxes with 12 days worth of homemade candy treats using these two sets of molds for each of the kids. My only insistence is that they must sing the appropriate verse before they eat their treat!
they are darling. my sister has always been a big candy mold gal. she loves to make custom party favors. she uses wilton candy melts and makes her own flavored hard candy.
ReplyDeletei love the way the cady molds turn out but i'm not fond of the wilton candy melts on their own. do you use another chocolate? how would regular chocolate hold up?
i would love to try them again if i can find an alternative to wilton.
thanks for your inspiration and tips.

Those are the cutest little molds!!! Do you spray your with oil prior to pouring in the chocolate?
ReplyDeleteAlso, the Wilton Chocolate I had used over Christmas dried in discolored streaks. Have you had this problem?
I am using >Make and Mold Premium Candy Wafers from Hobby Lobby. I don't spray the molds at all. Just melt the wafers, scoop them and fill the molds, then refrigerate for 15-20 minutes. I have not tried regular chocolate yet.
ReplyDeleteThose are really, really cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are SO CUTE!! I almost ordered them back when I bought the nativity mold, and now I am really wishing I had! Next year for sure! :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you boxed them up as a set for the 12 Days of Christmas. That would make such a great Christmas gift!
I was told that the Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips work well and taste wonderfully. I haven't tried them yet myself, but I just bought a few bags to try the next time we mold some chocolate.
These are so cute! What a great idea. I love celebrating the 12 Days and these are perfect. Love, love, love wrapping them up in boxes to give to each of the children!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove these, Charlotte! I've seen them in Hobby Lobby but had no idea how beautifully they turn out! And, also many kudos on your celebrating the twelve full days of Christmas! For too many people the tree is down and the spirit gone the day after the Feast!
