O Oriens

O Dawn of the East,
brightness of light eternal, and sun of justice:
come, and enlighten those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.

O Oriens,
splendor lucis aeternae, et sol justitiae:
veni, et illumina sedentes in tenebris, et umbra mortis.

It wasn't quite dawn and I have no tripod. Most pictures are a little blurry, kind of like your eyes at 2am! Those of you using a reader will have to click through to see the slideshow.

  2. This is great. A winter storm kept us from seeing the event...I was pretty sad until I saw your post.

So, we are going to recreate the scene using your shared gift.

    Thank you!

  4. Thank you Charlotte! Ditty was bummed that she didn't see any of the eclipse last night due to the low clouds and snow up here. This made her day!

  5. Thank you for sharing! We were disappointed not to be able to see the eclipse here for all the clouds. I guess that's the trade-off for getting snow.

  6. Way to go! When we read what time it all would take place, we hit the sack. Thanks for staying up and showing us:)
