Fall Leaves on the Window
Fingerprint F's and Fall Leaf Stamps
Lots of fingerprint art going on around here inspired by this story about the discovery of a new DaVinci painting. HT: Jennifer
Finger Painting
I made finger paint using this recipe. The colors aren't as vibrant as store bought, but I could pronounce all of the ingredients and it was super easy to clean up.
I painted this tree on an extra piece of drywall in the garage and then BigBoy went to town.
And regarding finished bathrooms...I'd rather not talk about it.
Silly me! I forgot that we also made Fall Leaf Pumpkin Muffins using this pan (I paid less locally). They were kind of a disappointment. I think the muffin recipe I used was too spongy and the texture of the leaf didn't come through. I ended up carving in the veins using a toothpick after the glaze had set.
Beautiful! I used those same window clings a few years ago and they left dye on the window! The window was in the sun though, so heads up if that's the sunny side of the house :)
ReplyDeleteI. love. that. tree.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog. I, too, am a Roman Catholic homeschooling mother of four beautiful children. The homeschooling part was thrust upon me three weeks ago as the result of an incident at our Catholic school. I still question everything I do and wonder if I'll ever make it. Your blog is light for the journey. Thank you for the moments of beauty with which I end each still stressful day. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte, I have that same pan and I use a pumpkin bread recipe that slips right out. I'll email it to you this weekend. Your house looks lik eit is right in line with us.. we are on F too!
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteThey didn't get stuck in the pan, they just didn't look like leaves when we popped them out. The veining didn't show up. Did yours work like that?
songofjoy,
ReplyDeleteWow. I can't imagine being in your situation. We planned to homeschool from the very beginning, but I still questioned myself everyday (and sometimes still do). Just know that learning is a lifelong process. There is nothing that your children can't learn at some point in the future if they miss it today. Get to know them and how they learn and then teach to suit them. I will keep you in my prayers.
Love the leaf pan!
