Of course that makes perfect sense dosen't it? I love the funny things children come up with. Nothing can make me laugh quicker than one of these funnies. By the way, I have finished decorating my chasubles on my blog if you would like to look. It is so great to have them finally done. God Bless
Sorry for the random comment, but I just wanted to thank you for your comments over at Darwin Catholic and to assure you that I was not referring to you when I mentioned AP or EBF and people being critical of my parenting choices (I'll write cryptically, so others won't have any idea what I'm saying - Hee!). I actually wrote an entire post about how moms need to stop making each other feel guilty Re: AP and am on the same page as you. If you're interested, here's the link: http://www.katewicker.com/2008/01/attachment-parenting-debate.html
I also loved what you said about NFP and how it allows God to work his magic no matter how "strict" it's used. This is an argument I've often had to use (in fact, it was one I had to overcome myself as a Catholic who did use contraception early on in her marriage). With NFP - whether my husband and I have prayerfully decided to abstain/postpone or not - we're not shutting God out.
My somewhat sentimental explanation of why NFP is not misogynous and how it actually exalts women (and the sacrament of marriage) seemed to annoy some people. But that's at the heart of NFP, and it's not something we can't talk about.
Ah, but this is just so random (sorry again!), and this certainly should not be the first comment to your lovely blog (I've used some of your coloring pages with my artsy child - thank you for this ministry!).
At any rate, God bless you in your vocation, and thank you for helping to spread the Good News.
Makes sense to me. Heehee!
ReplyDeleteI'm in total agreement!
