Thanks to Joann's family, we have a new tradition for celebrating the Fourth (and birthdays too). We painted them today so they could have time to dry before tomorrow. The supplies are simple: foil star stickers, sponge brushes, masking tape and paint. Tape off your design and place the colored stars where you want to have white stars. Paint using dabs, not strokes. Let dry and remove the tape and stickers. The stars come off best if you use a knife to scrape and pull them off.
Hope you have a wonderful Independence Day. We must remember to have hope in God's plan for us and our country. No matter the ugliness on the horizon, we will keep our eyes fixed on the Truth.
Charlotte,
ReplyDeleteWe just made some today, too!! You inspired me (and gave me enough notice) and so we finally managed to make them this year. I'm afraid ours have a few smudges but that's alright. I'll be posting pics soon!
Can't wait to see them Lillian! The smudges have a way of working their way out with practice.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome. And the tulip shirts are beautiful. I may have to run out and pick up some shirts and paint today and make some with my niece and nephew. It will also give me something to do with all the star stickers I have left from when I taught 2nd grade CCD. 7th graders aren't so much into start stickers :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Again. I just recently found your blog and am enjoying it so much.
Sandra
