Happy St. Lucy's Day

Star boys and Lucias at every plate

Yarn doll St. Lucys for the girls

St. Lucy doing a jig?

Sunshine's sweet Lucy doll in her arms with a sweet roll on her plate! Mmmmmmm!

I am hoping that the plethora of homemade decorations will make up for the utter lack of homemade goodies this year. I am nursing a strained muscle in my neck/shoulder and just didn't have it in me this year to make this delicious bread which is making the internet rounds. I hope you all had a lovely morning and if you are reading this in your jammies, I hope you get to stay that way!:)

  2. Thanks Kimberly!
We have been in a yarn doll making mood here. These were made using cotton yarn and for some reason, my daughters liked them so much better than the ones made with the fuzzier stuff.

  3. Oh!! What a lovely feast day celebration!! I too love the yarn doll, how sweet!! I bet your girls were so excited!

I too painted a St. Lucy doll, but only one, and I didn't think to paint a starboy... hmmm. maybe I still will, or maybe next year ;)

    The sweet rolls look delicious!

I hope you are feeling better soon. The bread is definitely NOT something to bake when your neck and shoulders hurt... I didn't realize how out of shape I was till I was stirring and kneading that bread dough last night! :) OH! And I hadn't realized that you had made the braided bread last year too! I added a link to your post from last year on the Catholic Cuisine post.

And yes, I am still in my jammies, and hope to stay in them all day. It's Saturday and it is Snowing (the first time this year)!!! A perfect opportunity to have a cozy day at home!

I hope you have a wonderful feast! ♥
