I'm done!

Where I've been...
What I've been doing...

For Suzannah...
I told you it wasn't just a prop and it did get really slow after you left. It may not be pretty but it is proof that all you need to learn how to knit are needles, yarn and a good book. (Not to mention multiple friends willing to teach you and too much time on YouTube.)

**The title of this post refers to the fact that spending 16 hours in a room with every homeschooling resource you could imagine means that I now have everything I need for next year save one little online order. Say it with me... WOO HOO!!!

  2. Matilda -- so glad you are KNITTING now and that you like the book ...

I was at the BIG IHM conference in Virginia and boy was that a bit of eye-candy!

Don't hesitate to "holler" if I can walk you through the knitting stuff.

  3. Woohoo! Good for you! (You may have just spurred me on to get on the ball here...) Too cool that you are learning to knit! I just read that it keeps the brain young to keep learning new things like that. I'm thinking of picking up a foreign language...

  4. Lucky you! I went to my first Catholic homeschool conference last year (MCHEC) at the University of St. Thomas. I had so much fun! I'm regretting I didn't go again this year.

My MIL knits wonderful things for my family every year for Christmas. She keeps encouraging me to start. I have some lovely wool yarn, a few sets of needles, how-to books etc. but I just can't seem to carve out the time to learn. I applaud you! Everyone I know who knits says it is so much fun.

  5. I see a doll blanket in your future!

Of course you lose points for having props if you actually put them to use!
