We didn't get to see all of the attractions, but I have to say that I was very impressed with what we did see. Lots of opportunities to interact and little stations set up along the way manned by volunteers who offered extra information about the animals or their habitats. Anyone vacationing in Birmingham should consider a trip to this zoo!
There was a chalk wall in the kangaroo section that let you trace aboriginal drawings. Sister decided to have a little fun with her big brother instead!
I loved this picture of Sister and the kids in their hats peering over the wall at this monster below:
This little guy kept peeking up at us from the bird pond. I couldn't help thinking "Who's here to see who, at the zoo?" Signing Time fans know what I mean!
BigBoy isn't usually too fond of the potentially louder animals like this Bengal Tiger but he was willing to go just about anywhere his supercool uncles wanted to take him.
And we saw chipmunks everywhere! Even right here mingling with the giraffes. We don't see these guys here in Texas and the children thought they were adorable!
More tomorrow!
Awesome pictures! That camel made me giggle. &:o) The last one of Sister and your daughter is priceless. What a fun day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really wonderful day! I agree with Lisa, the last photo is precious!
ReplyDeleteWhat GREAT pictures! I'm so glad you all were able to visit Sister. It looks like you had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back. You were missed!
Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO COOL. I want to be related to a nun. I guess we'll have to have some daughters to make that happen!...
ReplyDeleteBTW, I like camels and will be posting some photos to prove that they are cute.
Beautiful photos! We went to a zoo last Friday (sans Sister, sigh) and it'll be fun to compare notes.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!
