It's 47 degrees outside and I am pretty sure that is going to be the high for today. The skies are gray, the wind is cold and my big guy is still down with a fever (although not as high as yesterday! Yeah!). No Mass today, no outdoor stations that's for sure, but it is a perfect day to try out one of those yummy pretzel recipes you gals offered last Friday. Sorry Laura, I think you have to be a crazy Minnesotan to be able to put lye in the water. This Texas girl will stick with just salt. I'll let you know how they turn out! And Laura, let me know if I should boil some extra water for you. Nine days to go!
What a great idea... think I'll (virtually) join you!

This transplanted Texan thinks 47 sounds mighty balmy. We've been staying inside because it's been below 30 for the past week or two. If we get up into even the mid 30s, we're definitely out to the playground! Am I becoming acclimated or what?
ReplyDeletePretzels sound mighty yummy, though. And the thought of a warm oven in my kitchen downright wonderful. Not sure the salt would help my swollen feet much, however.
Aw, ya big chicken! Yum, I love me some drain cleaner with MY pretzel (shrug, I guess it's an aquired taste!). Heehee, I had 5minute apart contractions for about 3 hours this afternoon but now they have disappeared. I'm kind of glad because:
ReplyDeleteA. My best friend sis is out of town.
B. My other best friend sis is babysitting A.'s kids
C. My doctor isn't available today.
So, looks like I'm crossing my legs tonight!
Mmmmm...pretzels! What a neat treat to implement on "fast Fridays"! Thanks for the post!
