According to Elizabeth, who completely shocked and surprised me by bestowing this honor upon me and who also made my chin drop when I realized she actually knew who I was... I am a rockin' girl blogger. She says she often hears me in her head, gee.. I hope I'm not twangin'! Elizabeth is the woman who (literally) wrote the book on Real Learning and even though I have had my fair share of celebrity encounters (I know what kind of boat George Strait prefers!) I admit to being a little star struck when someone I admire turns up in my life as a real live person!
Anyway, I am going to try and pass this award along to five other Rockin' Girl Bloggers who hopefully haven't already received it but since my brain is like a sieve, forgive me if I offer you a repeat award.
Diana is definitely a rockin' girl blogger. Check out that picture of her in 1990!! She always has beautiful pictures and interesting topics. I would love to spend a whole day in her garden learning her green thumbed secrets although I'll bet a mani, pedi, facial party would be fun too!
Cay Gibson is rockin' to a Zydeco beat, or that is how I imagine her. Pink porpoises, busy bees, and lovely lacy meditations all make her someone I have put on my list of people I would love to meet. And since she lives next door (well, state wise) maybe that dream will come true!
Karen E. rocks to a totally unique beat with everything from the entertaining to the enlightening... she sure knows how to make you smile and make you think. She could do a whole blog dedicated to that spunky little one she calls Ramona, but thankfully she also shares with us her own interests and adventures.
Theresa is rockin' in the Land of the Midnight Sun. Wow! What a wonderland of nature and adventure she is exploring right now. Thankfully, she is finding the time to share it with the rest of us and we have enjoyed marveling over her many, many discoveries.
Last, but not least is Margaret from Minnesota. She might be tiny, but her blog packs a punch. Don't mess with her (or her tattoo) and get on her friendly side as soon as you can because she is a friend worth having. So generous with her time and her feelings. We love you little Maggie!
I am sure this award will make it's way around in good time because if there is one thing I have noticed about all of the mommies who blog is that true charity, generosity and sharing seem to make up the code that they live by!
Oh dear. I am never going to live down this tattoo business, am I?
ReplyDeleteNomination has been humbly acknowledged. I'm sorry I never stopped by yesterday to thank you--my hubby was in the middle of a HUGE computer-synching, photo-organizing project and all but HISSED at me any time I took a step toward the computer. I'm surprised he let me get a post up! ;)
In any case, thank you so much for your kind words. I will try to do as good a job on my nominations as you did on these; you are truly as generous and charitable a "rocking girl blogger" as the ones you honor.
I agree that you are a rockin' girl blogger yourself, Matilda. Thank you for bestowing the honor on me. I shall try to live up to it.
ReplyDeleteI *almost* got a tattoo one summer in Daytona Beach. Does that count, Margaret? :-)
Just home from OOT, Mathilda, and saw this. Thank you so much for the nomination. I am honored and so touched. This blogging business is so huge, it's sweet to be noticed...especially by someone as nice and thoughtful as you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Matilda!I am so touched! And here I played hooky from the computer for a few days! I am SO glad to have found a fellow gardener!I love your blog and wish mine came close!
