Birthday buddies from the very beginning!

Three years ago today, after 24 hours of keeping my feet up so that you could have your own birthday, I was honored to finally get to hold you in my arms. Even though the early "danger zone" had passed, fears and worries plagued me those nine months. Months of anxiously waiting, crying and praying that I would actually get to meet you paid off in a big way! And then there you were, so sweet and soft, being adored by your sisters and cherished by your older brother who had visions of races and battles, bunk beds and whispers twinkling in his eyes every time he looked at you.

You are smart, funny and aware of more than we know, I am sure. Happy Birthday, sweet boy!
