It occurred to me in re-reading that what I wrote below that I might have sounded as though I was opposed to celebrating Mother's Day.
Please don't think that.
We celebrated! We had dinner out, a yummy chocolate creme pie for dessert and my children presented me with the most wonderful gifts; a camera bag so that I can take our camera with us on our outings and not feel anxious about putting it in the diaper bag along with a whole slew of handmade coasters and cards (9 in all)! It just bothers me when people who love me, but don't always understand me, want me to celebrate Mother's Day in a very public way or alone, without the beautiful creatures that make this day possible. That's just not me.
